Buenos Dias mis amigos!  Good morning my friends!ç

It is another gray morning in Nazca, Peru.  In a few hours the sun will rise over the mountains and bring sunshine for the day.

The mid summer briefing here has been very beneficial!  There are about 55 missionaries who have gathered from all over Peru.  Last night was our first session and we had worship in an old baptist church in town.  A boy named hector came in and spoke with me for a bit.  He is 19 and a Christian but he lives in Ica, a province next to Ayacucho where Robert and I will be serving. 

Today will be full of interviews and worship, so please pray for patience for the interviewers and for the missionaries.  May God give them good remembrance of the events thus far this summer so Mike and Kathy Weaver can find out how better to serve the Peruvian people.  We are really blessed to be here, and it is so encouraging to see so many believers united for the sake of Christ from all over the U.S.  There are even 8 native Peruvians who have been translating for us this summer.  Much praise to the Lord!

This place has much beauty to it, but also many areas are filthy and we wonder how people make it by.  May every act we do be for the glory of the Lord.  Oh yea! We met our translator, Manuel.  He is a very educated person and he is a language major at the local universtiy.  We hope to grow close to him in the future.
