We have heard from Rob and Nick, our second string of summer missionaries. For those that dont know Rob and Nick will be in Peru for 6 weeks continuing the work that was started earlier. We have their first three journal entries including their prayer concerns and praises...
| | hello all! Our first day in Peru has been wonderful. We met some of the missionaries working in Lima, and from some other small villages getting ready to go to the mid summer briefing in Nazca. We got to sit in an English lesson for peruvians and we read bible versus. We got to speak with them all in english and it was very beneficial. Tomorrow we drive out to Nazca for the mid summer briefing. Please pray for our translator, Manuel. As we here he is getting burned out and may not accompany us on our journey. People have been treating us well and we are very grateful. Thankyou all for your prayers! They are so in action. Bye for Now! Nick and Rob | | | |
| | Buenos Dias a todos! Good Morning to all!
Robert and I have safely landed in Peru! We got to our Hostel (a small hotel) about 1230 a.m. and hes still sleeping. Horns are beeping and cars are honking already. We are both very excited to be here, and enjoyed some of the best plane food I had ever tasted. Please pray that the Lords will be done today. We are in a foreign land, but it still belongs to God. I saw some writing on a shirt that said Somewhere, Anywhere, Everywhere, Take God there. Pretty clever.
Bless you all for your prayers and concers. The Lord is doing a mighty work among us!

| | Hello all! Robert and I are very excited to fly out to Peru tomorrow morning! It will be a long flight as we leave at 9:30 a.m. and arrive at 11:00 p.m. in Peru. As many of you might know, Peru is located almost directly south of Virginia, and is in the same time zone. Please pray that the Lord will make straight his path for his children, and pray that we will settle in well and get used to the elevated altitude. Also, keep in mind all the summer missionaries in Peru as we will all meet in Nazca, Peru, for the mid-summer briefing. For those who have been in the field thus far this summer, this is an excellent opportunity to share testimonies and just be re-energized.
En Cristo,
Los Hombres
