The Edge Peru is the long term mission goal of Crossroads Church of Norfolk to reach the people of Umaro Peru with the  Gospel of Jesus Christ. Partnered with Calvary Revival of Norfolk and several college students from Syracuse University, our vision is to go to the edge of lostness with hope.

Update #2 from the mountains of Peru
Wednesday, 30 May 2007
It was a great day ministering here in Huancapi. We woke up and got going  nice and early. After breakfast, we took one of the trucks to Huancarylla to drop off the school team to do some ministry in the school there. They were there for most of the day and then were picked up around
1pm. We stopped on the way back to Huancapi to take some pictures of the beautiful scenery. It was so beautiful that only the hand of God could create such landscapes. While the one of the teams were in Huancarylla, the other went to the Clinic here in Huancapi.
Denise, Trevor, Kim and Logan  were there to educate people about Oral
Health and Denise was helping out in the Laboratory   with the local
medical technician. It was obvious that God brought Denise here for this reason. Not only was she able to help with the lab there and give tips, but she established a relationship with her. Logan was able to share with her our main purpose here, and that is to show God´s love and proclaim the love of Christ and why he came to die for us.

I have not heard from the Umaro or hiking teams. Some of them will be returning tomorrow afternoon and the rest on thursday morning. From there we will head to Ayacucho then to Lima on friday. The trip has been and will continue to be short, but the Lord is using this short time we have for His glory and it´s very encouraging. Keep praying for safety and health.
