Over the next several years, CrossRoads Church and other churches and ministries are banding together to bring the gospel to southern Peru. The mission will continue until every person in southern Peru has had the chance to hear and respond to the gospel of Jesus Christ. The mission will unfold in several different stages.

There are three focal areas that we want to engage. The first area is called Huancapi. Huancapi is a small town of about 800 located in the state of Ayacucho. There is one small church made up of a local family. They are eager to learn and share there faith. The goal in Huancapi is to share the word of God, to encourage	Isaiah 12:4 Make known his deeds among the peoples; proclaim that his name is exalted.

the local believers and to help the church grow and develop. Huancapi will be our base for reaching the other two areas. The second area is a town called Huancaraylla, about 15 minutes from Huancapi, where there is no church. We made progress during the summer of 2006 building a relationship with the local mayor, which will help us as we continue our efforts to share the gospel in Huancaraylla. The third area that we will focus on is Umaro, where there is a small and struggling church. Umaro is a tough two-hour drive from Huancapi and is the most remote of the three focus areas. To get into Umaro you have to walk across a swinging bridge over a river. Near Umaro, there are three other very small villages accessible only by tough mountain hiking. The people in these villages have never heard the gospel. Our goal is to send teams to evangelize and disciple people in these villages starting this summer.

The Future Stages of our vision will be developed as to how much we are able to see happen this summer. The goal is for us to stay and minister in these areas as long as there is a need. The long term vision would also be to see ministry opportunities in other nearby villages in southern Peru.
